Asian countries are in no way developing anymore as they used to before. Take them seriously and respect what Asia has achieved in the last 20-30 years.
We see Asian companies becoming a global competitor in many markets in Europe, the USA and especially in other parts of the world such as Middle East, Africa and South America. It may be smarter to cooperate with them than to fight them.
So, don’t see the rapid development in Asia as a threat but rather as an opportunity!
