This study tour aims to support associations and administration in the four GIZ partner countries Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Mongolia. The focus is on the development of association structures and services for export promotion in the agricultural and food sector. The study tour consists of a networking program with leading German institutions and stakeholders in Germany, training sessions, and a visit to the virtual Anuga trade fair.

The event was organized on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ). The Chairman of the BWA Federal Commission for Foreign Trade and Investment reported on the occasion. The Chairman, Volker Friedrich, spoke about the importance of the Asian growth markets for the German economy.

“The participants were particularly interested in the instruments of foreign trade promotion such as Euler Hermes loans, trade fair participation, study promotion, and the investment protection agreements. Here, the BWA is happy to be the first point of contact in the funding jungle of the EU, the federal government, and the states to advise and accompany our members and partners from Germany and abroad,” summarised Volker Friedrich.
